Question: I want to try your recipe for raspberry coulis. However in Oklahoma, black current liqueur is impossible to find. What other types of common liqueur can I use in place of black currant?
Answer: Hi, thanks for writing in with your question.
You can use kirsch, a cherry brandy, as a substitute for the black currant liqueur. You should be able to find kirsch, as it is a fairly common liqueur.
The raspberry sauce recipe also works without any liqueur at all. Just reduce the water by a couple of tablespoons.
Hope that helps and happy cooking!
